UK TRIP DEALS · Travel insurance

Travel insurance, with time to get it right.

Planning a trip in your 60s, 70s, 80s or beyond? Start with clear information on medical declarations and the questions to ask before buying cover.

Medical details go directly to your chosen provider. This page does not collect health information or generate prices. A quote or acceptance is not guaranteed.

Provider websites for UK residents

These UK services have residence, GP-registration and journey-start rules. Nationality alone does not establish eligibility. Check the provider’s full conditions, including any arrangements for the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.

Independent information links — UK Trip Deals currently earns no commission from these insurance links. This is not a personal recommendation or a whole-market comparison.

Provider websites and policy documents may be in English. Ask the provider for help if you do not fully understand a question.

Have this ready for the provider

Optional preparation checklist. Ticks stay on this page only and are not a medical declaration.

Checks that matter for older travellers

Age and trip length

Check both single-trip and annual-policy limits. A “no upper age limit” headline does not guarantee acceptance or unlimited trip duration.

Medical declarations

Answer the exact questions asked, including their time periods. Ask the provider about anything unclear and how to report health changes before departure.

Compare the cover

Review medical treatment, repatriation, cancellation, excesses and exclusions, not just the price. Confirm cruise cover and any activity restrictions.

If online screening cannot help

Speak to the provider. UK residents can also use MoneyHelper’s specialist directory. Some circumstances need manual assessment.

Visiting the UK from abroad

Arrange cover suitable for your country of residence and a trip to the UK. The UK-resident services above may not accept overseas residents. Ask your local insurer or broker to confirm medical-condition cover, UK treatment costs and repatriation.

NHS hospital care is not automatically free for every visitor. Entitlement and charges vary; the NHS link covers England. A GHIC/EHIC is not a replacement for travel insurance.
